TCS follows following process to hire associates as per your eligibility.

  1. TCS NQT ( 3.36 LPA )
  2. TCS Digital (7 LPA )
  3. TCS Innovator (11 LPA )

TCS NQT

TCS National Qualifier Test ( TNQT ) is conducted by TCS iON every year in end of Oct and registration process begins in Sep. TCS NQT (Ninja) is to recruit students for the 3.36 - 3.6 LPA job role. It is a 90 minutes test & comprises of 4 sections: English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Programming Concepts & Coding.

This is the eligibility criteria for the TCS iON NQT.

  • DEGREES AND BRANCHES : BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/M.Sc/MCA
  • PERCENTAGE : The applicant must have minimum 60% or 6 CGPA throughout academics.
  • BACKLOGS : The applicant must not have more than 1 active backlog/arrear/ATKT while appearing for the TCS Selection process.
  • GAP / BREAK IN EDUCATION : Overall break should not exceed 24 months.
  • AGE : 18 to 28 years.

  1. Online Test – TCS National Qualifier Test (NQT) : Difficulty level is very easy and you can easily qualify for this. coding section is little bit difficult but if you will perform well in other sections then mostly you will get selected for Interview proces

Students selected for this were called for the Interview for Ninja profile (3.36 LPA).

  1. Technical Interview : This round lasted for about 10 - 30 mins , and they asked from all possible topics they could.
  2. Managerial Interview : Mostly will be combined with TI.
  3. HR Interview : This I round will be very easy only some basics questions and will last for 5 - 10 mins

If everything goes well you will get call later from TCS.

TCS Digital

Toppers from NQT will be shortlisted to appear for a TCS Digital Test. They will send a confirmation mail if you are one of them.

for this separate rank list will be prepared, in which the questions of the advanced level will be given a priority called TCS Digital Test. TCS Digital is to recruit students for the 7 LPA job role. It is a 90 minutes test & comprises of 5 sections: English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Programming Concepts & Coding.

If you cleared Digital test then you will get confirmation latter for Interview process.

We will have two rounds of interview (TR and HR)

Technical Round : This round will last for about 1 hour, and they will ask from all possible topics they could.

HR Round : This round will be for about 30 mins. they will asked some basic HR questions, some aptitude questions (angle between the minute and hour hand at some particular time). Say about your achievements, projects, etc? Why should we hire you? type of questions.

If everything goes fine then you will get a call later from TCS

TCS Innovator :

There are multiple ways to get into TCS Innovation Labs.

  • get recruited from TCS premium collage ( IITs or NITs)
  • Crack Codevita with high score
  • Already working in TCS and you CV get shortlisted by some scientist in particular labs

here your salary may differ according to your joining process.

In the first two cases, you are recruited directly into the CTO team (The R&D unit at TCS is known as the CTO unit) and you get the salary as per your new role in the CTO team.

In the third case, you get salary as per your old post for one year after the date of joining. After that, you get salary at per with the direct CTO recruits.

CTC for Btech recruits : 9 LPA

CTC for Mtech recruits : 11.5 LPA
